Happy Birfdays!

Me not gets to posts in a furry long time. So me wants to tells mine furends that efurryfing is gud here.  Mine lawn box is growing and me and the outside kitty, what has been living on our deck this winter, does ok with sharing the space. Sometimes i hasa gives him a little hiss so him knows is mine deck that me is sharing wif him. But mostly him stays out of my way, and me stays out of his way.

Acause him is now a little bit a parts of our fambily, him gets a real name, stead of a colony field-markings name. So him is now called Toby.

Mancat Monday

Hi Bloggie Furends, TK here with my mancat monday post.

This me, hanging out in my lawn during the not-so-hots.

It has been not-so-hots the last 2 days, and I has been taking avantage by hanging out on the deck. As you can see, my lawns is getting long again, but mommy not has time to helps me trim it acause her work is being opressive again. I not really minds acause it is fun to honker down into the cool grass.

So lots of things has come to our feeder, we sees the baby deers again, but then, while they was eatting the berries, a big mandeer comes along and chases the mommy deer into the woods. The little baby deers stayed all by their selves for a few minutes then they runned after the mommy.  I not know what that was all about. (Mommy is sorry she not gets a picshur of the baby deers for you- she not could get the camera quick enough.)

But she does gets a picshur of one of the ferals that we has dopted.  This is "Socks".

Socks comes around for a bite to eats every once in awhile. The summer menu is a normal calorie mix, acause we not wants the kitties to gets too fat to get away from the foxes.

In other news we gets our order from Alice and Jane, and mommy is very 'cited that I might finds a toy-furrend that I love that is not "red mousie".  See "red mousies" are made by a very nice old lady that not can makes them anymore.  Mommy has been afrantic acause the remaining "red mousie" is really getting teared up.  (She thinks I not knows there has been more than one, but I does.) She has been fixing him as best she can, but she not really good with those things. So she has been trying to finds me something else that I might loves as much as "red mousie".  So this is what might be my new "red mousie" a fun toy that bats around, but not fits under the couch.

Femme Friday

Hello Blog Friends, it's me Squashies here with my Femme Friday post.

This week TK only ate my food twice. But once he ate it all before mommy noticed.  I don't mind too much, I know his diet is very hard on him, and mommy gave me some new food to eat.

In other news, I have been taking antibiotics for a month now for a little infection. Usually the medicine comes in a liquid that mommy would have to squirt down my throat. When it comes to forcing us to do things we don't like, I think mommy is more unhappy than we are, so Dr. Segal said we could try pill-pockets.  She chopped human pills into EIGHTHS. Can you imagine? They were very small pieces. She's a very special doctor!

For three weeks everything went well. Mommy called the pockets my "before-dinner-treat", and I didn't mind even though I knew it was medicine. The pill-pockets are salmon flavor and very yummy, so I let her get away with it. Then on Monday, when I was eating my "Treat", something went wrong and the pill-pocket got stuck on the roof of my mouth. I was very scared. There was much drooling, scratching, and meowing.  Mommy finally helped me get it unstuck and it ended okay. But after that I will not eat those pill-pockets ever again.

For the last 4 days mommy has been sitting me on her lap and shoving pills in my mouth. Neither one of was happy about this turn of events. I tried to be a good-girl, but it was really hard. 

So anyway, yesterday was my last pill so we are all very relieved.

In other news- remember the hungry deer mommy that was eating daddy's bird seeds? Well as I was writting my post, she brought her fawns to the feeder for the first time! Here are some pictures mommy took.

Mancat Monday

Dis me, working on my lawn. A mancat has to keeps him's property (and nose) nice and neat.

Two Hungry Mommies!

Hello Bloggie Friends, TK here. I wants to show you something amazing that is happening in my domain.
Mommy sais that when you is a mommy with babies, you has to eat a lot to makes milk foods to feeds them. She sais the mommies not likes to be away from their babies for a long time so they is opportunistick eatters. Dis means they wants their food as fast as possible so they can get back to their little ones.

So I tells you before that we feeds the kitties that not has homes in my domain.  Daddy puts kitty foods next to the tree that also has the birdy feeder. This a good place cause there is a fense and lots of underbrush for thems to hide when something bad comes. This way they not get eatted.

One days I is looking out over my domain and I jumps up in alert. My tail was twitching and mommy looks out and grabs the flashybox. And dis what she sees:

The deers eatted the birdies foods!

Den a few minutes later, she sees dis! (You can clicky to biggarfy) Is a racoon who eatted the kitty-kibbles!


Is funny how they is not worried about each others. And is the little one is the meat eatter too. Is hard to see but both these beautimous girls has swollen areas dat my mommy sais mean they is mommies.

The grass is always greener in my deck box

So one of the biggest things that has happens for me over the last few weeks is... is... *drool* MY lawn!  That's right my friends, I has my own personal lawn!  Daddy usually plants tomatos in the deck box for the beans to eat. But this year he is only goning to plant one tomato and the rest of the box he putted in wheat-grass seeds.

As you might imagine, with my grass addicshun, I has been very eggsited! Every day I goes out as much as I can to see how it is growing, and noms trims the tops, just so it not gets too tall.  Daddy sais him not going to brings the lawn mower up here to cut my lawn, so I has to take care of it.

Mommy sais it is not so good for our neighbor ladee who likes that we has extra tomatos in the fall for her to has... I sais they should buys her some tomatos at the farm stand if she feels so bad.

I hopes you enjoyed looking at my lawn. I think I might hold a tea party once the weather is nicer, you all will bes invited!

Rainy Mancat Monday

As you can see, the rain has done a lot to green up TKdom.  I'm really just saying so you knows that I tries to find the bright spot.  Truth is, I really don't likes the rain. It gets in the way of my deck time and my walks.

Best thing to do is nap through it!

The sun will come out tomorrow... or the next day.  I can nap as long as it takes.

Hello Blogs. I promised to have mommy takes a picshur of me watching the show-in-the-snow.  So this is pretty much how I spends my day while mommy is working.

Although sometimes I curl up and takes a nap. After all it's not an easy job keeping track of all these comings and goings.

Thusday Thirteen

I has a very big happy. I has my first follower! Speedy (of Zippy, Sade and Speedy) comes by from my hero Kismet's site. Speedy says I is a hansome mancat too, which is sayin somefing given his hansomnessess.  Thanks fur coming Speedy!

I also has a happy that my hero Kismit seems to be feelin better wif his medisines. He says him gives the VET a run jus like a mancat should.

Is gud all these happies cause we are honkerin down fur the big snow storm coming tomorrow.  I sepect I'll just hang out in my window bed and watch the show, which should be quite exciting as all the aminals gets ready to honker down too.  My window bed is on my mommy's desk that she works on during the day. It's on the thrid floor and overlooks the vast forest and fields that is my domain.  We has a bird feeder and a ground feeder where daddy feeds the feral kittehs and sometimes the foxes, racoons and even vishus deers.  So in honors of my first visitor, Speedy, I offishually publish my first Thursday Thirteen.

Thirteen things that comes to my domain:

1- Sam the one-eyed-fox

2- The outfielders for Toronto

3- The pitcher for St. Louis

 

4- This bird (you gets extra credit if you knows what he is.)

5- Mourning doves

6- Robins (this on got eatted by #13 2 weeks after this picshur.)

7- This brownheaded cowbird (who shouldn't be this far east.)

8-This silly squirrels, and elebenty hundred of his fambily

9- Vishus deers, this one is using his vishus rack to shake the birdfeeder to get the corms!

10- This very purty Indigo Bunting.

11- This Rosebreasted Grosbeak.

This proofs that we has both forests and fields.

12- Rabbits (this one is lucky that hawk is jus a baby!)

And my very favor-ite one is...

13- This Broadwinged Hawk and its mate, the parent of  #12, and the eatter of #6.
