Truthful Tuesday

Hi Bloggie friends, Squahies here. I want to tell you about something that is a little bit embarrassing that happened to me.

Background: In the evening I like to sit at the top of the big cat tree so I can keep an eye on TK, who gets a bit feisty after he gets his shot. He always wants to rassle with me, but he is a lot bigger and sometimes he gets carried away, and I don’t like it, not one bit.

So this weekend I got a manicure. And when I went to get in the tree, I forgot that my fingernails were a lot shorter… So I made my usual approach. As you can see is a very long way for a little kitty like me.

And THEN... This happened!?!

I have an embarrassed. I've never missed my jump before.

I'm only telling because I know mommy had the flasybox, so I might well be upfront about it. But it's only because of my fingernails... You still love me don't you?

  1. I hate it when that happens. But it's not your fault, obviously. If your fingernails are shorter, the fault belongs to whoever cut them!

  2. Absolutely no need to be embarrassed, since it wasn't your fault in the first place. Besides, never mind how often things like that happen around here!!! :-))

  4. Awww Squashies!! Nothing you do is embarassing! You are so cute and sweet and you are much safer in the place where you landed! If you were way up that tree, we wouldn't have seen your pretty face!

    Take care

  6. Squashies,
OF COURSE we still love you! It's all the fault of whoever clipped your nails. We will never speak of this again...

  7. That is nothing to be embarrased about, at least the nails were the problem. You want embarrassing? I tried a yoga pose once and rolled off of the couch, yep, hurt my butt too!

  8. Like Brian, I got to stretching once and ended up on my head on the floor. Fortunately, it wasn't a tall chair.

  9. Squashies don't feel bad - that happens here all the time. And honestly, most of the time it is because we misjudged. But it is mostly either because we were in a hurry or because it is one of the older kitties (Kirzon does that all the time). We think you look very cute trying to get up to the top there - and so as long as you are ok and cute, no one will say anything if you don't make it!

  14. Squashies...I love you EVEN MORE...because I SO UNDERSTAND!! I'm a senior, but when I was a kid, I tried a couple of jumps and I failed and ever since, I'm afraid to jump...I even worry that I'm not able to jump up to my Mom's lap!! But don't be like me, don't be afraid...just keep on trying and don't give up...there is so much in the 'higher-up' to see that if you don't get there you'll miss it all! I always ask Mom to put me up high or I try to get there without having to jump. So you see, I understand about falling and I think you are wonderful no matter what...especially since you 'came clean' to the world about it. You're soo good! Purrs, Lautrec (and Tiny)

  17. Don't worry about that Squashies. My brother Kenji often slips off Mummy's lap when he tries to jump up. Mummy wants to laugh but she can't because it hurts!!!
